When a dictator shuts down the system equipment of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as well as mobile phone operators to interrupt internet and cell phone connections, there is time and again little that could be accomplished from a political standpoint. There are quite a few military technology options that could be implemented. Now, please don't find me wrong; I'm not talking in relation to group troops, invasion or occupation. Rather, there are quite a lot of technology based options that could be initiated that are extremely classified military functions not involving attack as we know it.
These options may, however, be considered as a part of a bloodless virtual war. The military can restore connectivity through a technique that might gain favour with an inhabitants isolated from communicating by means of the world outside its boundaries. And, they can do this without the traditional military network equipment in network operating centre (NOC) or data centre.
After all, a military public address system that can offer either satellite or non satellite based tools can come in and offer access points to generate an online connection. Whether this is made skyward or sea based is a substance of location as well as circumstances. For instance, the US Air Force has an airborne broadcasting centre, called Commando Solo, at its clearance. Commando Solo is a revamped consignment plane, with the capability to transmit operations in AM as well as FM for radio, and UHF and VHF for TV. In hypothesis (and probably in authenticity....remember, most of this is confidential) military communication equipment must also be able to create a Wi-Fi connection. Military communication pass on aircraft are by now in use in Afghanistan. US defence contractor Textron is caught up in a project called Fast Com that uses mobile pods linked to the base of drone aircraft.
